LAST WEEK:3-2 (60%) CAREER:14-15-1 (48%)

One more plus week away from the good side of .500

Doing myself a few favors by ignoring Friday games, BYU, USC and big underdogs.

Week 7 CFB

10/12 12(noon)EST #11 Texas (+11) vs #6 Oklahoma (Neutral Site: Cotton Bowl)

The most predictable play on the WKLY5 slate…I still love Texas even though they lost at home to a very good LSU team. This is the Red River Rivalry folks, I understand that Jalen Hurts looks dynamic as ever in the Lincoln Riley system but c’mon, 11 points! I take Tom Herman and Sam Ehlinger over the other duo any day. Look for a big game out of Devin Duvernay. Horns outright.

Texas 37 Oklahoma 35

10/12 7EST Ole Miss (+12.5) at Mizzou

I am fearfully dipping my toe back into the raging SEC waters that have chewed me up and spit me out for the most part. I am 0-1 betting against Missouri but I still believe that although they are well coached, their record is better looking than their team. This is just a spot where we have seen the number move from 10.5 to 12.5 and I am finally taking the bait. I think the Rebs’ come into Columbia and put up more than a good fight.

Mizzou 31 Ole Miss 27

10/12 7:30EST Nebraska (+7.5) at Minnesota

Yes, I am playing Nebraska yet again. This line has an eerily similar feeling to the Northwestern line last week. The fact that the hook is there gives me that much more confidence because I truly believe this will be a one score game. Although Minnesota is one of the few undefeated teams left, their best win is against a lowly Purdue team but better yet, before last weeks blowout of Illinois, they hadn’t beat anyone by more than 7. SDAKST 28-21, FRESNO 38-35, GASO 35-32, PURDUE 38-31. I am not in love with the Huskers, I just think this spot is too good to pass up. No disrespect, Fleck #RTB.

Minnesota 33 Nebraska 31

10/12 8EST #7 Florida at #5 LSU (-13)

Florida is coming off an emotional rollercoaster of a hard fought win vs Auburn, and now they have to turn around and play a primetime game in Death Valley under the lights versus a deadly LSU team. Give Mullen, Trask and co. all the credit in the world for being unbeaten up to this point but this Tigers offense is different this year, I learned it the hard way. Should be very fun to watch Burrow and his elite pass catchers vs a pro level Gators secondary but I think the Tigers play a full 60 and get the best of them.

LSU 35 Florida 17

10/12 11EST Washington (-6) at Arizona

Okay, the Huskies are not as good as everyone thought and Jacob Eason is not the top flight QB some people were anointing him as, but they are a touchdown better than Arizona, I don’t care where the game is played. UW is coming off a lifeless loss to a lifeless team in Stanford last week in which they were a 17 point road favorite, they are 1-2 in the Pac 12 and are desperate for a conference win. Chris Pedersen will prove why he is indeed a great coach as the WKLY5 takes you into early Sunday morning. Enjoy it!

Washington 48 Arizona 24

Extra games to keep an eye out for:

USC @ Notre Dame, Penn State @ Iowa, Bama @ TAMU, FSU @ Clemson,
