LAST WEEK:1-4 (20%) 😐 CAREER:10-9-1 (52%)

Last week was a disaster. I experienced my first losing week and it was painful, ugly, and humbling. Although my record looks a whole lot uglier, spirits are good and my attention is turned to week 5.

Week 5 CFB

9/27 8EST #12 Penn State @ Maryland (+7)

I don’t care about my dismal record on Friday games, I love Maryland at home coming off of the BYE after a tough road loss to Temple. I still don’t love Penn State this year and believe Maryland has a good chance to win this game outright.

Maryland 38 Penn State 33

9/28 noonEST BYU (-2.5) @ Toledo

Im back on the BYU wagon and it feels good. I know a lot of the sharps out there like Toledo as a home dog but I believe this is a very tough BYU team that has been getting overlooked week after week. Although last weeks blowout loss to Washington took some wind out of the Cougs’ sails, I think they get back on track Saturday in Ohio.

BYU 28 Toledo 18

9/28 7EST #24 Kansas State (+4) @ Oklahoma State

I don’t hate the Pokes, I just happen to be betting against them consecutively. This is going to be one of the most exciting games of the week in Stillwater and I am just taking the team getting points. I do admire what Chris Klieman has done with this Wildcats squad and Ok St is coming off a tough road loss to Texas.

Kansas State 25 Oklahoma State 24

9/28 7:30EST #5 Ohio State @ Nebraska (+17.5)

So far this year betting against the Buckeyes seems like giving away money. I think the Cornhuskers can get some stops early and keep the game close going into halftime. With the margin being as big as it is, I couldn’t help myself. Although the Huskers have been disappointing so far this year, College Gameday is in Lincoln and Scott Frost has a lot to prove in a big spot.

Ohio State 41 Nebraska 28

9/28 10EST Washington State @ #19 Utah (-5)

Back to the well with the Utes…last week at the Coliseum was a disaster. Utah thoroughly outplayed USC but the lack of Red Zone execution cost them an undefeated season thus far tallied with a Pac 12 blemish. Wazzou on the other hand gave up one of the biggest comebacks in CFB history to UCLA in a game where 130 points were scored. I am not at all off of the Utah train and believe this is a beautiful clean up spot for the Utes at home.

Utah 35 Washington State 24

Extra games to keep an eye out for:

Iowa St @ Baylor, USC @ Washington, MSST @ Auburn, UVA @ ND
